Ben Gibbard 4 Prez!

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and Death Cab for Cutie played the second of two sold-out nights at Washington D.C.’s Constitution Hall last night. Ted Leo was up first and was received rabidly by the crowd, some of whom must have remembered Leo’s days as a D.C. resident and frontman of one of the city’s best exports, Chisel. When Death Cab came on after a short set change over, Ben Gibbard made good use of the large stage, bounding about and sweating his way through an hour-and-a-half set of crowd favorites. At one point Gibbard mentioned the days elections noting his political preference when he said, “We lost last time, but we’re gonna take it this time.” He also took the time to praise the opening band for this tour saying, “Ted Leo rocks harder than us every night. They’re the hardest rocking band we’ve ever played with.” JOEL DIDRIKSEN

We asked: With it being Election Day, did you vote, and if they were on the ballot who would you vote for, Ted or Ben?
