Watch Arrington de Dionyso’s Freaky ‘I Manipulate the Form’d and the Formless’ Video

Arrington de Dionyso

K Records veteran Arrington de Dionyso leads the trance-punk outfit Malaikat Dan Singa, a restlessly surreal crew whose name translates from Indonesian to English as “Angels and Lions.” The psych adventurers’ latest album — Open the Crown, released earlier this year — marked new territory for the group, as it was their first LP to feature lyrics in English. Another outlier: Closing song “I Manipulate the Form’d and the Formless,” a faux-rap track that casts de Dionyso as a rhyme-spitting shaman who boasts, “Impossibility / I don’t know it / I can catch a meteor and then I’ll throw it / Back into the flow of multi-verse awareness / All my followers click ‘Like’ and share this.” Now the song has its very own music video, a technicolor clip that lets de Dionyso preach his otherworldly sermons on suburb streets. Worship him above.
