Adam Lambert is the dashing, flamboyant singer behind the hit single “Ghost Town,” so he’s no stranger to spooks. It makes sense, then, that he’s been cast in Fox’s upcoming live presentation of the cult classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lambert will play Eddie, a character originally portrayed by Meat Loaf in the 1975 film.
“I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision,” Lambert told the publication. “Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was OK to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!”
Laverne Cox of Orange Is the New Black fame will play the iconic role of Frank-N-Furter, originally brought to life by Tim Curry. The special will air some time this fall.
