No doubt about it, this week belonged to newly-minted President-Elect Barack Obama. But that doesn't mean the music world lay dormant: Fall Out Boy, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Decemberists all kicked off their respective U.S. tours, while the Killers treated fans to new tracks in London.

In times of economic crisis, Los Angeles, CA, pop-rockers the 88 are looking to ease Americans' financial pressures. Rather than blow their budget on a high-concept video, the trio go lo-fi in the treatment for new single "Coming Home" and use the leftover cash to buy icecream for some soccer tots and gas for weary travelers.
