After tweaking techno scenesters with the underground hit "Minimal," this Chilean-born, German-raised producer makes good on his quest for un ritmo mas sensual with a left-field fusion of disco rhythms and the Colombian folk music cumbia. The idea came from Bumbumbox, a series of impromptu street parties Aguayo helped kick-start across the Americas, and that same DIY spirit informs productions soaked in the sound of his own humming and beatboxing, layered atop nimble drum programming as if he's leading a Latin-tinged, acid-house barbershop combo.
