With its boho subject matter and slinky Nuggets guitar, "Cappuccino," the first single from brothers Alvin "Rah Almillio" and Kintrell "Krispy Kream" Lindsey, earned the duo both critical praise and "hipster rap" skepticism. Thankfully, their debut album does little to clarify the group's intriguingly eclectic sound. But what do you call a hodgepodge of new-wave guitar bangers ("Playboys"), spacey blues moans ("Shine Again"), and Daisy Aged goofs ("Pee Knuckle Skit")? Sharpen some hooks, chuck some chaff, and you'd call it great. For now, just call it the Knux.
