Hives Map Brief Spring Tour of U.S.

Sporting their snazzy duds no doubt, the Swede garage rockers return to the states this May for a seven-date jaunt.
The Hives
The Hives

Who: Swedish garage rock kingpins the Hives, led by sassy, Jagger-like frontman Howlin' Pelle Almqvist.

What: A seven-date U.S. tour delivering tunes from the quintet's acclaimed new record, The Black and White Album, to an assortment of cities nationwide, including Atlanta, Nashville, Milwaukee, Fargo, and Spokane. A stop into Washington State's Sasquatch! Music and Arts Festival will cap the outing.

Should I go: Absolutely. If you've yet to catch the Hives live -- you must! With an unprecedented level of energy, exemplified by Almqvist's flagrant onstage antics, and a career's worth of kick-ass tunes to boot, the Hives are not to be missed. Plus, work hard to catch them in their matching casual wear -- white satin bowling jackets, with their names embroidered -- after the show.
