Who? Brazil’s CSS, an eclectic, genre-mashing outfit belting an interesting blend of electro-infused baile funk and punk, led by energetic frontwoman Lovefoxxx. Sonically similar Brit outfit the Go! Team will open a handful of dates.
What? A 17-date North American tour set to kick off in Minneapolis July 30 and hit Toronto, Portland, and Los Angeles, as well as festivals like Lollapalooza, All Points West, Treasure Island, and Austin City Limits.
Should I go? Yes. Despite the recent departure of bassist Ira Trevisan, CSS are pushing on and will — as they’ve done so many times before — offer up a wild, eye-boggling live show as the bubbly Lovefoxxx prances the stage, often clad in a sleek, downhill skiing speed suit.
