A beautiful collision between singer-songwriter Christoffer Gunrup and various members of Dungen, this Swedish underground supergroup's debut suggests the dusty riches of some long-lost LP locked away in psychedelic folk-rock Valhalla. Gunrup's heavily reverbed English-language rasp floats around the edges of comprehensibility while somber acoustic ballads alternate with explosive space jams. And as in Dungen, guitarist Reine Fiske solos so furiously it's as if something's trapped inside him that must be turned into melody or he'll burst into flames.
