And the show included something quite rare at today’s rock gigs: abundant smiles radiating from the stage. Interesting you point this out. I remember when the Presidents busted out with Lump back in the 1990s it was the same situation. They were the only 'happy' band while rock radio was dominated by gloomy, shoe-gazing grunge acts. 13 years later and nothing has changed. I wish rock was more happy.
