In case anyone cares to notice, a lot of the online Spin reviews are fairly brief. Several of these reviews are used in the 'Review' section of the published magazine, and most of those are fairly short too (some even only a few sentences.) It's unfair to blame a critic for being brief when they are required to stay within a specific word limit. Surely it's much more difficult to sum up an album in 150 words than it would be to completely flesh it out. This review, however, is solid. She made connections to previous albums and mentioned contributers to the record; she even had time to throw in a "Miss World" reference. So shut the fuck up.
