You do understand that all of the actual Roc Nation artists have been signed for 1-2 years (Hugo, Alexis Jordan, Bridget Kelly, Rita Ora, J. Cole). Hugo, Alexis and J. Cole all released albums this year but only after having put in work touring etc to 1) Build a fan base 2) Get their stage show down 3) Get some industry experience before being thrown into the spotlight. As music writers you should know how the industry will eat you up if you aren't ready. You do a good bit of the chewing. So the fact Jay wants to go back to the lost art of Artist Development shouldn't be looked upon as a problem but a promise that he signed you because he believes in you and will rock with you until he thinks you are ready to go. Signing Jay Electronica can't possibly be looked at as the shiny new toy and him losing interest in J. Cole because everybody has been waiting for Act II longer than J. Cole has been signed. It's allegedly done but we'll see. He talked like he was going to drop a record last week after Cole dig big numbers first day but then decided against it apparently.

Saw her show in Carrboro, NC last weekend. She played the entire new album. It's her most personal music ever. She's well-known for keeping up a very sturdy wall, but it comes crumbling down on this. If your an old or new fan, you will 'feel' this music deep inside. I love it and can hardly wait for my own copy!

If the demo of Record Machine is any indication, then this should be far better than any recent Oasis album.
