With her new group Spinnerette, former Distillers guitarist/vocalist Brody Dalle certainly "calls the shots." And that fact is evident from the assured lyrics of "Ghetto Love," a funky and riotous new track off Spinnerette's forthcoming Ghetto Love EP: "I'm gonna win / I never give in / I'm a girl / I'm looking for love!"

With ragged punk grit and an almost industrial feel, "Ghetto Love" proves that Dalle hasn't lost any edge from her Distiller days. "I brought in the bass line and the melody and (producer Alain Johannes) wrote some of the coolest guitar lines I've ever heard," Dalle tells SPIN.com of the song's creation. "It happened so fast, that within three hours we were going, 'Holy shit! What did we do?' drinking shots and dancing around his studio."

This track is wicked. Its the second amazing spinnerette track I have heard and i can already tell this album is going to be THE rock record of 2009!

As for the song... as a Distillers fan I want to puke... what the f**k was that?
Has anyone here heard of a band called "Garbage" ? If they didn't do that exact track they did as similar as Jesus is to Christ.

It sounds like Josh is allover this song and kills it. Same vocal melody, same style. On myspace a year ago the Spinerettes had a sample, or loop of tracks that sounded so much more original. I think Josh needs to get out of your business and leave you alone. Besides that stick with your original guitarist. You had better chemistry. Maybe I'll liten to the whole album if I can't avoid it. I like you blond better. Sorry Josh.
