Queens of the Stone Age Offer Shelter From the Storm at Brooklyn Masonic Temple

Queens of the Stone Age's love affair with New York City brought them to Brooklyn Friday night. Following a two-night stint, which included a full live-streamed concert, on Late Show With David Letterman, the ...Like Clockwork chart-climbers took up residence inside the Masonic Temple in the burrough's Fort Greene neighborhood as Hurricane Andrea dumped buckets into the night and onto the outdoor crowds at nearby Governors Ball. Desert-dry, the Cali Queens tore through the new record, debuting live for the first time "Fairweather Friends," and saved the beloved vintage material for the encore. "You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, but I Feel Like a Millionaire," "No One Knows," and, finally, "A Song for the Dead" sent the crowd out the door spent and satisfied, despite the flooding rains that awaited them outside.
