Running from May 9 to August 14 in Manhattan, the Metropolitan Museum of Art's PUNK: From Chaos to Couture exhibition shows how the grimy rebellion of classic '70s punk style was incorporated (co-opted? corrupted?) by high fashion. Juxtaposing original punk garments with their haute couture and ready-to-wear progeny, PUNK is a must-see for students of culture — or those curious to see the myriad ways household detritus could be turned into a style statement. Take a look.
