Thursday March 17 kicked off SPIN's Loft on 6th in Austin, Texas presented by HP. Bands and brands came together for gifting, schmoozing, and a series of performances from Eisley, Bass Drum of Death and Telekinesis.
SPIN, East Village Radio, and cast members from the new Comedy Central show, "Workaholics" took turns interviewing artists that streamed live on EVR, and for SPIN.com.
HP provided listening stations and a lounge area for bands and bloggers to experience HP computers with Beats Audio which provide optimal sound experience - when playing through headphones or speakers.
Guests at the Loft spent the afternoon enjoying complimentary Sparks, BlackBeard Spiced Rum drinks and food provided by Wahoo's Fish Taco plus access to the new Xbox Kinect games in the Kinect for Xbox 360 Gaming Lounge. Artists had their pick from the gifting suite, and got to leave with their choice of Oakley sunglasses, custom Case-Mate products and customizable Havaianas.
As the first day at the Loft came to a close, the party wrapped up with an acoustic set by Jewel presented by Bravo. The performance marked the kick-off of a new music competition show on Bravo called, "Platinum Hit" that will feature her as a judge. Jewel fans were able to attend this exclusive show by unlocking the "Platinum Hit" badge on Foursquare.
