Outside Lands 2014: SPIN’s Best Live Photos

Nestled in the woods of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, Outside Lands prides itself on its sylvan aesthetic, sprinkling artisan food booths, a comedy stage, and cooking demos throughout the trees. Oh, and there’s also some music too. The 2014 installment of the fest was as raucous as ever. Kanye played the hits, delivered a rant, and brought his good luck charm Kim along; Tom Petty proved once again why he’s the unlikely king of modern country-rock, inciting numerous sing-alongs to hits like “Free Fallin” and “American Girl,” and the Killers closed things out with their host of signature anthems. Additional highlights included a high-flying set from sister act Haim, the kitsch-filled EDM stylings of Duck Sauce, and the surprisingly stoner-metal rawk of Courtney Barnett. SPIN was on hand to catch all the action.
