Shout It Out: Mikal Cronin Warms New York's Webster Hall

"We're from California," Mikal Cronin told a bundled up Webster Hall audience last night. "Our instruments don't like the cold." Though Cronin, longhaired purveyor one of 2013's Best Albums, was in the middle of tuning his twelve-string guitar, the sentiment resonated: For just under an hour, the Laguna Beach native and his band stampeded through songs old and new, working up a hot froth of distortion only hinted at on his recordings. Check out our photos.
