Matador Records celebrated its 21st birthday this weekend with a two-day concert at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, and bands from across the indie powerhouse's lifespan, from vets to newbies, came to join the party, including Spoon, Cat Power, Pavement (see frontman Stephen Malkmus above), Sonic Youth, and Superchunk.
