Paloma Soledad Greet the Crowd

Portland Fashion Week kicked off Oct. 7, with more than 50 designers showing their lines for the upcoming spring season. Designers came from as far as New Zealand (Icebreaker) and Paris (Ethos Paris) to show their work at the city’s Vigor Industrial Shipyards. Portland Fashion Week is the only comprehensively eco-sustainable production of a fashion week in the world.

Several of the collections focused on outdoor activities, like Jantzen swimwear, and Cyclodelic. Sustainable living was featured by brands including Imperial Collections by Anna Cohen, A Fortes Design, Lizzie Parker, Jonano and Mountains of the Moon which presented eco-friendly collections before the nightly parties which were attended by models, designers, and fashion connoisseurs alike. The shows wrapped on Sunday October 11 and concluded five days of fashion, parties and sustainable living.
