Wednesday night (October 27) SPIN marked the release of SPIN: Greatest Hits-- 25 Years of Heretics, Heroes, and the New Rock 'n' Roll with a performance by Jesse Malin at SPIN's downtown NYC offices. Malin is now on tour to support the release of his new album, "Love It to Life."
In attendance at the party: several of the SPIN: Greatest Hits contributors, including Chuck Klosterman and Tom Sinclair and SPIN editorial staffers Doug Brod, Charles Aaron, Steve Kandell and David Marchese.
Other notable attendees included Kevin March, drummer with Guided by Voices and Shudder to Think; Larry "Ratso" Sloman, who wrote "Scar Tissue" with Anthony Kiedis and "Private Parts" with Howard Stern; Sonic Youth and Jeff Buckley biographer David Browne, and novelist Bob Fingerman, author of "Pariah" and "Bottomfeeder."
