Each October, the Flaming Lips round up their biggest fans (and freaks) to take over their Oklahoma City hometown for a Halloween Parade. The Lips returned again this year for the fourth annual "March of 1000 Flaming Skeletons" and SPIN has the inside story, including photos taken by frontman Wayne Coyne's wife, J. Michelle.
"When you do these things in the middle of October, you think, 'What if it's too cold or it rains and no one's going to wanna fucking stand out there!'" Wayne tells SPIN of the outing. "But it wasn't like that. It was a bunch of cool people and a bunch of families and everybody gathered downtown. Oklahoma City looked like a big city."
