The Skinny: In 2005, this British quartet was lumped in with Interpol and She Wants Revenge largely due to singer Tom Smith's Ian Curtis stylings. Four years later, he still has that baritone and lead single "Papillon" has a dominant synth riff that Joy Division—or, really, New Order—might approve of. But hey, Joy Division never even made it to three albums, so nuts to that.
Fast Fact: Last year, a London newspaper declared Editors the second biggest British band of the decade, just behind Arctic Monkeys.
