Fans of free sneakers and buzzworthy bands like Bishop Allen, Midlake, and Cold War Kids gathered Thursday afternoon (March 15) at Schubas 11th Annual SXSW Round-Up at Yard Dog (1510 S. Congress), co-sponsored by Spin, Miller, Saucony, Maxell, and Yard Dog.

It Happened Last Night: SXSW Night Two
As the Austin sun went down and chilly temperatures cooled the city crowds, the true kind of rock'n'roll was just getting started. While a rush of music fanatics raced to the Bloc Party show at Stubb's Thursday evening (March 15), other rock'n'roll seekers scoped out acts such as L.A. afro-beat collective Dengue Fever, mopey indie poppers the Dears, and garage rockers the Sights, among others.

The annual SXSW festival is underway, and British pop darling Lily Allen, dance punkers the Bravery, and U.K. girl group the Pipettes are just a few who rocked SPIN.com during SXSW's first evening out (Wednesday March 14).
