Don't-call-'em-nu-metal rockers Linkin Park will take their new sound on the road in early 2008, touring behind the release of chart-topping new album Minutes to Midnight. Toting prog-rock outfit Coheed and Cambria as the opening act, Linkin Park's 15-date tour will kick off in Omaha Feb. 12 and hit an assortment of cities throughout America's midsection including Columbus, Detroit, Nashville, and Oklahoma City. The two bands will also trek east and hit New York and Baltimore, as well as perform a handful of gigs north-of-the-border.

And bootleggers shying away from illegal download services these days are in luck, Linkin Park will offer fans the opportunity to purchase a Digital Souvenir Package providing a live audio download of the entire show, exclusive concert photos, and a digital tour program.

Interpol Dispatch 'Live' EP

In an effort to aid independent record shops, Gotham's gloomiest rock purveyors Interpol have unveiled a six-track live EP, the band's first-ever official live offering aptly titled Interpol Live, available now exclusively via thinkindie.com, a site representing sovereign U.S. music stores. The new set, recorded during a sold-out performance at London's Astoria July 2, places songs from 2002's debut Turn On the Bright Lights, such as "Obstacle 1" and "Stella Was a Diver and She Was Always Down," aside four tracks from the band's latest LP, Our Love to Admire; "Pioneer to the Falls," "Mammoth," "Rest My Chemistry," and "The Heinrich Maneuver."

Morrissey Signs Record Deal with Polydor/Decca

After much speculation, and a period of no label representation or distribution contract, Morrissey has inked a deal with Polydor/Decca for those forthcoming albums of his, for which efforts are now underway. Speaking to NME.com on the proverbial prospect of pulling "a Radiohead" and dispatching his album as a pay-what-you-want download, Moz said, "If they [Radiohead] think that can work that that's a wonderful world. And yes, you can look at record companies and you can easily assess that they've been ripping people off for years and years and years. The whole process is a gigantic rip off. But then there are people like me who need to be institutionalized... and I don't mean in an asylum!"

He added: "Believing that several thousand people are working to get your music heard is more inspiring to me than anything else."

Lolla/Glasto Producers to Launch New U.S. Festival

New Jersey: home to the Sopranos, birthplace of Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi, and naturally, the scene of potentially the Shins' favorite movie, Garden State. And now, in terms of rock'n'roll fiestas, residents can add another weekend outing alongside Bamboozle for Festival Republic and C3 Presents, producers of U.K.-based events like Reading and Glastonbury and stateside extravaganza's Lollapalooza and ACL, respectively, have teamed for the Vineland Music Festival. The new event, slated to hit -- you guessed it -- Vineland, NJ Aug. 8-10, will, much like its sister events, offer "a weekend of pure unadulterated rock'n'roll pleasure," claims a statement.

Though a lineup has yet-to-be announced for the forthcoming festival, a statement confirms the bill will arrive "with a heady mix of the greatest bands in the world" as well as "new rising stars and the freshest acts hitting the stages before the press have had a sniff of them." And if Glastonbury, Reading, Lollapalooza, or ACL's past lineup are any indication, Vineland concertgoers could be in for a treat.
