Foo Fighters Unveil Initial U.S. Tour Dates
Steadfast alt-rockers Foo Fighters -- cover subjects of Spin's November issue, on newsstands now – have unveiled the initial dates in the band's full North American tour behind Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, the outfit's sixth album to date, which hit store shelves Sept. 25. Kicking off with a gig in Dallas Jan. 23, the band -- the core foursome plus Pat Smear on guitar, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, and Jessie Greene on strings -- will then hit cities like Memphis, Philadelphia, and Detroit. Additional dates will soon be announced.
Exercising their eco-friendly muscle on tour, Foo Fighters have come to the aid of TreeBank, an online donation system dedicated to urban forest tree planting, by placing a limited quantity of premium tickets up for auction via Ticketmaster.com. The auction's proceeds will then go to local "branches," planting trees in every community along the Foo Fighters' tour.
Foo Fighters tour dates:
1/23, Dallas, TX (American Airlines Center)
1/25, Memphis, TN (FedEx Forum)
1/26, Nashville, TN (Nashville Municipal Auditorium)
2/18, Worcester, MA (DCU Center)
