Pete Yorn: Nightcrawler Supreme
Last night, gruff rocker Pete Yorn exploded onstage at Boston's Avalon, thoroughly warming the snow-covered New England crowd with a high-energy, rocking performance. Emerging from a session of musical whirlwind, Yorn paused to breathe and took a moment to confess his love for the Beantown crowd: "It's nice to be back here." And the crowd concurred, as Yorn flowed effortlessly through his set, pairing gravelly vocals with a friendly stage presence. Although at times he acted the true rock star on upbeat rockers such as "Life on a Chain," Yorn sincerely connected with his audience via concentrated and passionate ballads such as "Strange Condition" and "The Man," and taking time to chat with fans between tunes.
