The Constantines, Wolf Parade, Rogue Wave

The big draw, and, coincidentally, the bright light of the latter part of Saturday night's Sub Pop showcase at the Bowery Ballroom was British Columbia's own Wolf Parade. Neigh on midnight when Wolf Parade took the stage, the crowd had reached critical mass in terms of size and drunkenness. The band mimicked the audience, filling the rather large stage at the Bowery with several keyboardists, and a slew of off-beat percussion like chimes and maracas, while lead singer Dan Boeckner exclaimed (repeatedly, we might add), "We're all really drunk!"
