Though best served in an equally dark venue, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's shadowy tunes, as lead by singer/guitarist Peter Hayes, alongside drummer Nick Jago and vocalist/guitarist Robert Turner, were met with fervent reception on a sunny Bumbershoot day two (Sept. 2). Stepping off stage following a set leaning heavily on Baby 81, the Los Angeles-based outfit's latest and fourth LP to date, Hayes took a few minutes to clue SPIN.com into BRMC's future plans and the dynamics of recording their fresh opus.
