March 6, 2012 – New feature! The world of rap blogging suffers from too much music coverage, and a dearth of actual music evaluation, so, every Tuesday, I'm going to pick my favorite rap album, EP, or mixtape from the previous week. This week, it's Big Kuntry King's 100% Kane. Big Kuntry King has been around since at least 2001. Along with the rest of the Pimp Squad Click (P$C), he made an appearance on "Heavy Chevys" from T.I.'s I'm Serious.

March 6, 2012 – "Jump Out," from Gunplay's upcoming mixtape Bogota Rich: The Prequel (out this Friday), elbow-dropped its way onto the Internet last Friday. The oft-ignored Maybach Music Group member and one third of Rick Ross' Triple C's crew is completely geeked-up, screaming and shouting over a Lex Luger-like production overloaded with gun shots, horror movie screams, and police sirens.

March 6, 2012 – In which Big K.R.I.T., who has, with today's 4Eva N A Day, released three impressively solid mixtapes that might as well have been albums in three years, but still only has a tentative release date for Live From the Underground, his major label debut, dedicates a song to the soul-crushing realities of signing to a major label.

March 2, 2012 – Early this morning, Clams Casino posted the instrumental to his remix of XV's "Swervin" on Twitter (download Clams Casino's "Swervin"). It's the least well known of the official remixes he did last year (a sunny take on Big K.R.I.T.'s "Moon & Stars," and perfunctory fuzz-ups of Lana Del Rey and Washed Out), but it is the closest to his lambent work on Instrumentals and Rainforest.
