September 19, 2012 – We're up to our ears in podcasts. The internet has grown positively lousy with 'em. Like the Hold Steady (sort of) said, everyone's a curator and most people are DJs.Not all podcasts are created equal, however. When London's Sam Willis and Steve Nolan launched their Allez-Allez series, in 2006, it was intended merely as a means of promoting their fortnightly party of the same name.

September 17, 2012 – They call Jeff Mills "The Wizard" for a reason. Mills makes mixing records look not just like art, but a dark art. Less a DJ than an alchemist, he doesn't merely mix records; he seems to extract their very essence, fusing and refining base materials into a perfect alloy of rhythm and texture.

September 11, 2012 – Todd Terje's "Inspector Norse" owned underground dance floors this summer — it's still Resident Advisor's second most charted track of 2012 — and now the Norwegian producer looks like he's becoming just as ubiquitous. Panda Bear featured Terje (aka Terje Olsen) in his Animal Collective Radio Transmission DJ set, netting him an entry in our Centipedia.

September 10, 2012 – The French producer Martin Solveig has been making music — house, downtempo, pop, R&B — since the late 1990s, but most Americans didn't discover him until hearing 2010's appropriately gregarious single, "Hello," featuring Dragonette.
