She & Him’s Zooey Deschanel and Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard announced they’d split up on November 1, just one day after the couple made their breakup official on Halloween — that’s the date of separation stated in their divorce papers, which various outlets have acquired from the L.A. County Superior Court. Deschanel filed the documents on December 27 due to “irreconcilable differences.”

Farewell, Zooey and Ben: But check out 12 indie-rock couples keeping the dream alive.

The rest of the paperwork appears to be routine… except for the income and expense declaration Deschanel’s lawyer filed (which TMZ picked up). According to that document, Deschanel is a fiscally responsible partner who earns $95,000 a month, spends $22,550 per month, and carries no balance on her three credit cards. The singer-actress owns modest property valued at $693,300, spends only 500 bucks a month dining out, and donates $1,500 a month to charity. Adorkable and thrifty, folks — and back on the market!

The otherwise uncontroversial filing appears to confirm reports from the time of their split that no third party was involved. Deschanel, 31, and Gibbard, 35, married in 2009. As of a recent article in Runner’s World, Gibbard claims to jog to a She & Him/Ludacris mashup (SPIN, however, is dubious).

Endless Bummer: Zooey and Ben’s split is one of the 30 reasons 2011 was a drag. See them all!
