Zappa Sons Tour With Dad’s Tunes

Dweezil and Ahmet Zappa will tour this fall with a collection of their late father’s music, Billboard.com reports. The brothers Zappa are referring to the tour as “the first official authorized presentation of Frank Zappa music by the Zappa Estate.” So far, only a European leg of the tour has been scheduled, but Dweezil told Billboard that the brothers hope to set U.S. dates in the upcoming months. Frank Zappa, whose music was a combination of classic ’50s rock and ’70s prog mixed with an absurdist sense of humor, died in 1993 after a prolonged bout with cancer. Before his death at age 52, the incredibly prolific Zappa released more than 20 albums.
