Back in November, YVETTE unleashed an unsettling music video for “Radiation,” a throbbing slab of experimental rock from the duo’s 2013 debut album, Process. In that Anthony Sylvester-directed visual, a series of decaying, deserted buildings are shown while a mysterious fog passes through a forest. Now, the Brooklynites have reunited with Sylvester for another disquieting clip: a black-and-white short set to new single “Everything In Reverse.”
Like its predecessor, the “Everything In Reverse” video doesn’t feature singer-guitarist Noah Kardos-Fein or drummer Dale Eisinger. Instead, the camera hones in on a handful of perplexing and hypnotizing images (an icy body of water, a flock of birds darting through the sky, cars commuting across a bridge), all while operatic and droney vocals intersect with pulsating guitar and a taunting synth line.
