XBXRX Deploy New Tune from 'WARS'

WRITTEN BY
SPIN Staff

The outspoken Oakland-based hardcore outfit XBXRX has been around since the late '90s, and they're still finding stuff to sweat about. The title for their newest noise, WARS, is never more appropriate, since it contains the word "raw" and doesn't shy away from the political (after all, these are the same guys that put out a 7" called We Hate the President). "Center Where Sight" keeps the album title's promise, thrashing with descending scales and riotous drums, while vocal injections of adrenaline pierce the rumble. WARS, deployed by Polyvinyl Records, storms stores on April 10.
