Wytches Host a DIY Horror Show in ‘Robe for Juda’ Video

Wytches 'Robe for Juda' Video

Brighton, England trio the Wytches were one of the 40 best things SPIN saw at SXSW, so we’re quite excited to see the lads release their “Robe for Juda” video. The shouty, surfy song hails from their forthcoming debut LP, Annabel Dream Reader, but rather than celebrate their summer Partisan release with a well-produced clip, the band went in the opposite direction, spending just £200, according to a press release. If there’s a premise here, it’s pretty vage one, as the Wytches are shown playing in an empty hall while some pals in DIY costumes run around the stage. One guy looks to be playing the part of the sun, while two other dudes fan the band with blankets. There’s a bit of choreography, some creepy masks, and a whole lot of bedlam, which seems to be the band’s M.O. following their similary lo-fo video for “Gravedweller.”
