Woman Struck By Chair at DMX Show

Hot 97’s Back to School Jam at New York’s Nassau Coliseum erupted into chaos Saturday (Sept. 30) night after sound issues interrupted DMX’s performance. The problems began during Lloyd Banks’ set when the sound cut out after 30 minutes, and continued into DMX’s set when the sound died again, 15 minutes into the rapper’s performance. DMX responded by jumping off stage and fighting with the sound person, Detective Sergeant Herb Daub of Nassau’s Third Squad told Newsday. The rapper and his entourage then left the stage and returned with bottles of water, which they began throwing at the audience. One member of the audience retaliated by tossing a steel folding chair at the stage and a member of DMX’s entourage threw it back, striking a woman in the head. She was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries, including a laceration to her head.
