Wolf & Cub come from the land down under, where Men At Work have claimed that "men plunder," so perhaps "Steal Their Gold" is a piece of proggy patriotism. The Australian quartet from Adelaide beef up their beats with two drummers, and "Steal Their Gold" showcases the band's rhythmic precision before sprawling into psychedelic fuzz. Already having shared stages with the likes of TV On The Radio, the Killers, and Queens of the Stone Age (handpicked by Josh Homme, no less), Wolf & Cub are set to howl at SXSW this spring and their debut, Vessels, will be released into the U.S. wild on March 6 under the 4AD label.
