Stream WL's Rippling 'You're Not Really Here'

Spectral unit's debut album, 'Hold,' materializes July 16

WL is an inconspicuously named trio of Portland transplants: Misty Mary (vocals, bass), Michael Yun (guitar), and Stevie Sparks (drums). On July 16, the (sometimes) mild-mannered noise-makers will follow last year's Impermanent 7-inch with their equal parts droning and driving debut album, Hold, out via Prospect & Refuge. Ahead of that bow comes "You're Not Really Here," a meditative tune that drifts over the quieter end of the band's spectrum, riding meted-out percussion, gently unfurling melodies, and Mary's forlorn singing.
