Metallica look likely hit the road for a “Big Four” U.S. tour with thrash kings Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. The band posted an image, titled “Coming Soon,” on their website of an American flag with the words “The Big 4,” suggesting the bands will bring their metal circus to the States after touring in Europe last year; the group have also registered a Facebook page, which you can check out here. Amy Winehouse has reportedly recorded music with Cee Lo after the pair got together recently in St. Lucia, where Cee Lo was vacationing. “She and Cee Lo just clicked and he said he wouldn’t leave the island until the track was done,” said a source close to Winehouse. Winehouse’s follow-up to Back to Black is also reportedly finished and in the hands of her record label. [Daily Star]

Robert Plant is recording the first-ever album of original material with his side-project Band of Joy. (The group’s 2010 album was a collection of covers including songs by Townes Van Zandt and Richard Thompson.) “We have to write songs now,” Plant said of the group, which features singer Patty Griffin and guitarist Buddy Miller. “It’s all very well celebrating other people’s songwriting…but we’ve got to be heading that way soon.” [Blabbermouth]
