Watch Wilco ‘Get Lucky’ in Bountiful Covers-Only Solid Sound Festival Set

wilco, replacements, daft punk, solid sound festival

This past weekend, Wilco wrapped the 2013 edition of their Solid Sound Music and Arts Festival, a three day showcase (June 21 to 23) that took place in North Adams, Massachusetts and featured live performances by Yo La Tengo, Neko Case, Low, Os Mutantes, and many more, including Wilco themselves. During one of their two headlining gigs, the Chicago six-piece played an amazing 27-song set that consisted mostly of covers. Jeff Tweedy and co. pilfered from different segments of the canon, taking on tracks by Pavement (“Cut Your Hair”), Daft Punk (“Get Lucky”), the Replacements (“Color Me Impressed”), the Rolling Stones (“Dead Flowers”), the Beatles (“And Your Bird Can Sing”), the Velvet Underground (“Who Loves the Sun”), Bob Dylan (“Simple Twist of Fate”), and Television (“Marquee Moon”).

Of course, footage and audio of the show have since surfaced. Watch Wilco’s surprisingly sharp version of “Get Lucky” above, and scroll down to see the band’s renditions of “Cut Your Hair” and “Color Me Impressed,” which was actually performed with the ‘Mats’ Tommy Stinson onstage. Head over to NYC Taper to download the whole two-and-a-half-hour concert.
