Watch Widowspeak Play ‘Swamps’ in a Garden at ACL Music Festival 2013

Widowspeak Swamps ACL 2013

Swooning crooners Widowspeak may have gotten their start in the first wave of the Brooklyn-by-way-of-Tacoma ’90s revival, but they’ve proven their staying power with a much darker sound. That’s why we took to the woodsy Umlauf Sculpture Garden during this year’s ACL Music Festival with singer Molly Hamilton, co-writer and guitarist Robert Earl Thomas, and their traveling band for an intimate performance of “Swamps.” The song is the near-titular track from the duo’s October 29 album The Swamps, out via Captured Tracks.
