When Jack and Meg White, the candy colored duo behind the White Stripes' bayou slidin' blues-rock, awoke somewhere deep in the Great White North this morning, they were greeted with some exciting news. Icky Thump, the band's newest and sixth LP to date, has landed in the No. 2 slot on the Billboard Top 200 chart, delivering the duo's highest U.S. placing ever. With 223,000 copies sold in the States -- thanks in part to a searing Bonnaroo gig and a White Stripes minted record store -- Icky Thump has also reached the No. 1 place atop the U.K. charts as well as broken the top ten in 13 other countries around the world. Elsewhere on the charts, Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" ascends from 10-7, Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway" enters in the No. 1 position, and Paul McCartney's Memory Almost Full slides from 3-5.
