  • Jack White is set to produce a live album by Jerry Lee Lewis. The rock'n'roll legend will perform a one-off concert on April 16 at White's Third Man Records in Nashville, which White will record and produce onto limited-edition vinyl. [Third Man Records]

  • MTV will broadcast an episode of Unplugged starring Lykke Li on April 7. The Swedish singer-songwriter will perform a seven-song set, which includes a cover of "Velvet" by British duo the Big Pink. Head over to Entertainment Weekly to watch a performance of "Possibility," which was included on the soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.

  • New Wave icon Kate Bush, who is set to release reworked versions of classic songs on the May 16 album Director's Cut, has released the first track from the record. Check out a re-jiggered version of "Deeper Understanding," featuring Bush's auto-tuned vocals.

  • David Bowie's label EMI will release an EP of remixes of "Golden Years" on June 6. The set will include reworked versions of his 1980s classic by DJs from KCRW. The label is also offering an iPhone application, which will allow fans to make their own remixes using eight "Golden Years" stems. Head over to KCRW to hear the remixes.

  • Glee creator Ryan Murphy has apologized to Kings of Leon for comments he made in January, when he slammed the band for not licensing their music for use on the show. "I didn't speak with as much clarity as I would've liked," Murphy said. "Who am I to say, 'Fuck you?' That's not what I meant. I completely understand when artists don't want a show or another artist to interpret their songs. In fact, I respect it." [Reuters]

  • Franz Ferdinand's Nick McCarthy will release a new album with his side-project Box Codax in May. The album, titled Hellbuster, is a concept record about "the adventures of a young boy called Hellbuster," and finds the guitarist teaming up with his wife Manuela Gernedel and German artist Alex Ragnew.
