• SPIN began this week on a Fucked Up note, revealing our 50 Best Albums of 2011 list, headlined by the makers of David Comes to Life. We also hit you with the 10 Best Reissues of 2011, our outstanding compilation of the 25 Best Live Photos, and our depressing rundown of 30 Ways 2011 Was a Drag. For comparison’s sake, we also looked back at our Top 20 Albums of 1991 (this must be seen to be believed) and Charles Aaron compiled a list of 90 reasons why Yuck may be the greatest band of the ’90s.

• And now for something completely different: a 13-year-old reviews Jingle Ball!

• And somebody who is not 13 and is also a huge Fugazi fan told us why the band’s new online live archive is so remarkable. He also helpfully guided us to 13 essential shows well worth 5 bucks.

• We got the lowdown on upcoming albums from Bear in Heaven, the Ting Tings, and the Walkmen. And we had an exclusive chat with Sleigh Bells about their February disc Reign of Terror and brought you a first listen to single “Born to Lose.” Listen again, it’s that good.

• SPIN brought you photos of Screaming Females in the studio with Steve Albini and a gallery of shots from Ringo Starr’s photographer’s new book.
