• This week we said farewell to hip-hop pioneer Heavy D with a playlist exploring his five biggest hits, five best deep cuts, and the five tracks we'd never have heard without him.

• SPIN also asked Public Enemy to reflect on the making of "By the Time I Get to Arizona," and traced the history of rappers sampling Radiohead songs.

• We had all sorts of fun at the Fun Fun Fun Fest, and debuted a fun. video featuring Janelle Monae.

• We puked in our mouths a little reading about Slipknot's seven grossest moments. They're really freaking gross.

• We were bummed out (but not exactly sickened) listening to the Muppets' cover of "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

• Black Sabbath reunited! And Axl Rose reunited with the media.
