The country star spoofs her "hip-hop persona" in a video clip with the rap phenom!

Do you ever feel like all of the action happens at the awards shows you don't watch?
For those who missed Tuesday night's airing of the CMT Music Awards, Taylor Swift joined forces with T-Pain for a spoof rap video titled "Thug Story."
Performing as T-Swizzle and flanked by T-Pain (that's "T-Pizzle" to CMT viewers), Swift kicked things off by addressing the unexpected nature of her alter-ego: "You shorties probably never thought I dreamed about rapping hardcore." She then posed next to her mom and insisted, "I live with my parents but I'm still a thug." Hilarious.
The country starlet then tore a page from SNL's "it's funny when you pretend that innocuous things are hardcore" handbook: "You can find me baking cookies at night / You out clubbin'? / Well I just made caramel delight!"
Nice. But T-Swizzle really brought it home when she warned haters, "You don't want to fight me in my extra-small white tee," before big-upping, "What what! I knit sweaters, yo."
It's surprising that one got past the censors. And we thought Bret Michaels's debacle at the Tony Awards was the most violent award show moment in recent history.

This is one of the reasons I can't stand new female "country artists" who claim to be country singers. It just isn't what it used to be. There is too much Pop music involved (cross over artists) What happened to the Martina's and the Reba's. The girls who called themselves country music artists and knew exactly what their roots were and still do. Not a fan of swift's AT ALL! SORRY Taylor swift fans. Bisides her vocals compare nothing to girls like CArrie Underwood, Reba, Faith Hill, Leann Rhimes, and many more. Swift is just an ok singer.
Can't you take a joke? Your not exactly a music critic and to say that Taylor Swift isn't that good makes you look like you have lived under a rocket for the past three years. Her song love story was downloaded over 3 million times! more then any other song ever. Her latest album "Fearless" was number one for 8 weeks. Also you spelled besides wrong.
she's not just a singer. she's also a songwriter, you know. and THAT is talent!
and BTW, Taylor Swift is nominated at 2009 TCA for 4 awards including...
Best Female Artist
Best Love Song for "Love Story"
Best Album for "Fearless"
and Best Tour!

I really don't know what to say, but i am shocked! Plain and simple, CMT has doctored up the version of Taylor Swift's "You Belong to Me" from the CMT award show to make it sound good! Watching the "live performance," I cringed. But watching the recap on CMT.com, it sounds great. Here are the 2 clips, you decide. At 1:29, the editing begins:
