At the final night of his Welcome 2 America Tour at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Prince pulled out all the stops with a set list that included hits (“1999” and “Purple Rain”!) and covers (Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” and Sly and the Family Stone’s “Everyday People”!). But the night’s highlight came when Prince roped a string of lady fans onto the stage to dance – including Kim Kardashian. Check out fan footage below.
Prince, who pulled a similar stunt when he serenaded Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester at MSG last month, dragged Kardashian to dance but was apparently disappointed with her disinterest: Kardashian simply stood there and acted like a shy schoolgirl. “Get off the stage!” Prince commanded before scanning the front row for another dancing partner. “What’s blondie saying? She looks like she could get busy. Oh, wait a minute – she’s got a wedding ring on!”
Kardashian admitted last night that she had jitters – she Tweeted, “OMG Prince just pulled me up on stage!!! I’m shaking!!!!” – so Prince gave her another shot later in the night and pulled her on stage once more. “This time I redeemed myself!” Kardashian Tweeted later. “We all danced while Prince played the piano! Wow! What a night!”
