Watch Opossom’s Zany ‘Fly’ Video

Opossom is the latest recording project from former Mint Chick Kody Nielson, who is also Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Ruban Nielson’s brother. The trio’s zig-zagging, often psychedelic debut full-length, Electric Hawaii, is due August 6 by way of Fire Records. For highlight “Fly,” director Sam Kristofski (also responsible for Opossom’s excellent “Blue Meanies” clip) set up shop in the South Island of New Zealand, filming what Kody describes as “a group of scientists as they attempt to study a mysterious moving pyramid in the country.” See how it unfolds:
