WATCH: Nirvana Live at Reading!

The band goes back to "School" in a clip from their upcoming DVD. Plus: Find out how to see the film on TV!

Despite its sadly abbreviated history, Nirvana was responsible for some amazing live moments -- the acoustic set captured on MTV Unplugged in New York; Kurt and Krist sealing their first SNL appearance with a kiss; a performance at the 1992 Reading Festival where Kurt came on stage in a wheelchair as a goof and then delivered a fiery, intense show.

On November 3, the Reading Festival set is getting a CD and DVD release. Better yet, you can catch Nirvana Live at Reading the night before on Fuse TV in its entirety at 11 P.M. EST, preceded by an hour of Nirvana videos and retrospective.

If you can't wait until then, feast your grunge-loving eyes on a clip from the Reading set below, where the band burns through an intense version of Bleach's "School."

Can't wait to see this, and get a hold of a copy of the Deluxe Edition on 11/3, and I'll probably shell out for the 2LP vinyl edition on 11/17 too! School video is AMAZING!!

Can't wait to get this (CD and the DVD, hopefully can find the combo), the Deluxe Version of Bleach, and the Foo Fighters Greatest Hits! It's awsome that they all come out in the same day. (Yet I wonder if Dave intentionally put the Greatest Hits album on the same day as the Nirvana releases?) (dun dun... DUN!) lol Just joking. And the video for "School", freakin' awsome! Just goes to show how much of a genius Kurt Cobain was... R.I.P 1967-1994.

Also forgot to say that the TV airing sucks for me cuz I don't get Fuse anymore...

sonotcool

This version of School is the 'cleanest' I've ever heard Nirvana - live or in recording; having grown up in Seattle and seen Nirvana live at least a dozen times. Can anyone say "overdub"?

Michael

Without going into details, I was intimately involved with the production of the dvd (as well as the original recording)...I promise you that not a note was EVER overdubbed on any of these recordings.

The band really was that good.

Dave was just brutally fantastic here. I almost forgot how intense it was.

WOW!!!!! This performance rocks harder than any of the so-called "bands" out there today! Nirvana was incredible! And this is the best I've seen and heard of the legendary 92 Reading performance. This will be greatest live rock DVD ever! Can't wait, don't know why it took so long, but the kids today will learn how a REAL rock band rocks out and feel so sad they are stuck growing up with the crap today. It's amazing how this music hasn't aged one bit. 17 years ago?!!! I remember in 1987, music from 1970 seemed like ancient history! Goes to show how Nirvana was so far ahead of its time and just how crazy influential they are. There will never be another Nirvana just as there will never be another Kurt Cobain.

I am right up there with buddy, don't have the channel, :(
And I never miss anything from Nirvana. I wish I could see it, on my big screen tv. I would feel right at home. Damn it.
